Original, unique, rare Josef Hospodka Czech Glass Artist, very beautiful Green & Clear dramatic piece, well done & rare! Huge & Heavy Dramatic Unique Ribbed Vase 50’s. Beautiful vintage art glass vase. A handmade design by Josef Hospodka hand made at the Chribska glass works in Czechoslovakia. Chribska glassworks, founded in the early fifteenth century, and stayed in production until very recently. In 1882 it was bought by the Mayer family. Chribska became part of the Borske Sklo National Corporation during the 1950’s. Chief designer at this time was Josef Hospodka, who specialized in sculptural blown glass designs. Measures: 11 inches tall at all 3 Flares, 7 inches deep, 3 flares on top 6 X 6 X 6 inches across. 6.5 inches wide, 6 deep rib’s from flares down side to base, base measures 3 inches X 6 as ribs come together to form a flat base, polished w/correct sticker!
