This is a tall Chinese vase measuring 62 cm / 24.4. It was left to me by my Grandpa who was a serious antiques collector. I think it is most likely to be early 20th century f. Rom the Art Deco period. And around 80 years old. The vase has been beautifully hand painted and is adorned with floral details, greenery, butterflies and men and women in traditional oriental ceremonial clothing. Overall there are many beautiful details. Near the top of the vase, there are 4 gold dragons, 2 at the front and 2 at the back; there are also 4 colourful Foo Dogs – 2 at each side. Inside the vase is beautiful white with butterflies at the top. Underneath the vase you can see all the aged scars from many different surfaces collected over many decades. There is an oriental stamp in the centre. The colours are superb and have the distinctive shades of pink and carmine as well as other Famille Rose colours. This is a heavy, solid piece and for its age is in amazing condition. With absolutely no chips, scratches, scuffs, cracks or restoration.
