We are pleased to offer this beautiful 6 Ft. Tall French Trumeau style vintage / antique mirror. We are uncertain of the actual age, but it is an older piece. The upper rectangular section of the mirror has a romantic hand painted oval scene bordered by a row of raised beaded molding. In each of the corners of the panel around the painting is a fancy applied molded section. Most of the raised moldings have a gilt finish. The large lower section has a large oval mirror surrounded with a beaded molding like the one that surround the upper painted section. Also, like the upper section, there are molded designs in the corners. Again, like the upper section most raised molding have a gilt finish. The actual glass mirror has been replaced and is not original to the piece. The background color in the upper and lower sections is a warm green that would probably described as a pale sage green. The fancy frame that surrounds the entire mirror is gilt finished. The top center has a carved ribbon design that extends above the main frame. The overall size of the mirror frame is approx. 34″ wide x 70-1/2″ tall. The ribbon section at the top adds an additional 3 to the height. As can be seen in the photos some there is some wear and several missing sections of the raised (probably plaster) moldings. NOTE: Many of our pieces come from estate sales so we do not have any history on them. We typically make no effort to clean or enhance the condition of any piece.
