This stunning pair of antique French Empire vases stand just under 10 (25cm) tall. They date to the early/mid 19th century. Each vase is decorated with little hand painted works of art to the front (see photos). They have mask & acorn scrolling handles (although hard to spot one handle has been remounted) and bolt on bases. They are in acceptable antique condition although both vases have quite extensive historic repairs to the bases where the base meets the main body of the vase (see photos). This is were the two separate parts of the vase meet allowing movement between the two parts resulting in the mentioned damage/repairs. Both vases show considerable age related rubbing to gilding particularly to the lower and base areas (one looks to have been partially regilded).
