This stunning pair of antique French Empire vases stand just over 11 (28.3cm) tall. They date to the early/mid 19th century. Each vase is decorated with little hand painted works of art both the front and back (see photos). They have the gilded Swan handles and bolt on bases. They are in excellent antique condition with the first vase showing no chips cracks or repairs and the second with just a feint hairline to the rim and a small shallow hard to spot insignificant little chip to the lower half (see photos). Both vases show considerable age related rubbing to gilding particularly to the lower and base areas. Nice quality pair of genuine antique French empire ceramics in very good condition.
