












Beautifully hand painted polychrome covered ginger jar. Made by Royal Goedewaagen, Holland. A large piece standing 36 cm high and 20 cm at the widest point. Painted underglaze in a blue, orange and green polychrome style. The bottom is signed with a handpainted Royal Goedewaagen Holland mark. It features a crown symbol which was originally used by the Flora pottery in Gouda. There is also a model or production number (1373/36), the number is also incised. It has the classification “handgeschilderd” (handpainted) and a small painters signature (a simple “mg”). A colorful genuine piece of hand painted Delftware in large proportions.
