Kinjo Nippon Hand Painted Landscape Floral Black & Beaded Gold 10 1/2 Inch Vase Beautiful six sided porcelain vase. The center is hand painted with varying panels depicting pink roses, yellow daisies and small blue forget me nots framed in ivory and raised gold gilt scrollwork designs and landscape scenes with hills, trees, blue sky and water. One of the landscape scenes features a small house. With white bands with raised gold gilt scrollwork above and below the center. The bottom and top of the vase are painted black with gold gilt beaded garlands and raised gilt roses. Ivory along the rim and gold gilt highlights to the handles. Marked on the bottom Kinjo China Hand Painted Nippon. This mark is shown on page 95 of the book Van Pattern’s ABCs of Collecting Nippon Porcelain. Has some wear to the gilding, especially on the handles, and some small spots of flaking and crackling to the black enamel, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 5 inches wide x 10 1/2 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
