EXQUISITE MOSER TALL HAND PAINTED CASED CUT-TO-CLEAR ART GLASS VASE – CIRCA 1870. Measures approximately 12 ¾ high. It measures approximately 4 ¾ in diameter at the top opening. The lighting in photos #1 and #2 cause the vase to appear to have a brownish-yellow discoloration at the top near the rim. The vase is definitely not discolored and the white casing is consistent in its coloration and brightness throughout the entire body of the vase. I believe that the poor lighting in those areas are accenting the gold hand painted highlights causing the vase to appear more brownish-yellow in those areas. Outstanding original condition – no chips, cracks or repairs. Wonderfully detailed all-over purple and gold hand painting. Fine qua-trefoil prismatic cuts. Wear to the gilt on the top rim of the vase. Like a lot of old Moser glass, this one is unmarked and unsigned. However, it has all the correct earmarkings of authentic 19.
